The importance of meaningful engagement in our communities cannot be overstated, and ASBIS is proud to champion this cause through our involvement in sports initiatives that drive positive change.
The marathon has evolved into a cherished tradition for our international teams, serving as a catalyst for collective efforts toward supporting impactful charity projects and initiatives.
This year, our Bulgarian team gathered to participate in the Edenred marathon, a testament to our commitment to making a difference. Following the success of last year's event, where each participant completed two 1.5 km runs with enthusiasm and dedication, we were eager to take on the challenge again.
Thanks to the tireless efforts of our participants and generous supporters, the marathon successfully raised around 22 000 USD this year. The funds raised are critically directed toward causes that resonate deeply within our community. Notable projects include: the acquisition of a fibrobronchoscope for the pediatric ward at University Hospital Pleven, enhancing the quality of care for young patients in need and the comprehensive renovation of the ENT Department at “Tsaritsa Yoanna – ISUL” in Sofia, improving facilities and ensuring better treatment outcomes for all patients.
This year, the marathon proved to be a unifying event, bringing together 122 teams from 61 different companies, along with hundreds of motivated participants. Each individual contributed to a collective effort that left a lasting impact, embodying the spirit of camaraderie and social responsibility. Together, we are making strides toward a brighter future for those in need, one step at a time.
