The ASBIS Cyprus team had the privilege of participating in the esteemed 2-day Proteas Summer School on Green Energy, held at the Cyprus Institute and the Proteas Research Facility. The Proteas Research Facility, recognized as the largest research infrastructure in Cyprus, is dedicated to the research, development, and testing of Renewable Energy Sources, focusing on Concentrating Solar Thermal (CST), Thermal Energy Storage (TES), and thermal Desalination of Sea Water (DSW) to address fundamental research and industrial needs.
As a company mindful of climate impact and an industry leader, ASBIS views it as their responsibility to engage in such initiatives and explore the latest advancements in green energy technologies. The ASBIS team valued the opportunity to participate in informative workshops and lectures aimed at promoting sustainable energy solutions, including cutting-edge research and developments in renewable energy sources, energy efficiency, and innovative technologies designed to minimize carbon footprints. The program covered a broad range of topics, from solar and wind energy to thermal storage, desalination technologies, energy storage, and smart grids.
